For some reason my blogger hasnt aloud me to be creating post's this past week, but logging on now that goodness it did. I have been continuing my cake classes and am moving up to the next level. My brothers communion is coming soon so my mom wants to do a trial cake for him this weekend. I'm pretty excited to see then ending result. Ill be posting pictures so everyone can see!!. I can't wait to finally be at the last cake class and show everyone how far I have come with this cake decorating :).

I thought this video was really cool because it showed how to decoraste cupcakes with fondant and not just cakes. Everyone compares cupcakes to icing and never thinks that fondant could be used with it, but that isnt true. This video shows how to decorate cupcakes with fondant which is something I am looking forward to trying.

Today I just got home and the weather is TERRIBLE. im suppose to be going to my cake class today but they cancelled it for some reason. I was so bumbed out, but my mom said I could help make a cake to bring to her work for one of her employee's birthday tomorrow. I have to start the cake in a couple hours but for some reason im getting really excited to make this particular cake. Well im going to go to Publix now to get all the supplies!

I didn't really do much this weekend towards my project since I did so much during the week. Also, my boyfriend just came into town so I spent most of my time hanging out with him. I keep trying to decide what kind of cake I should use when I make my brothers First Communion cake, since I want it to be a surprise. I hope he likes it becaue I am putting so much thought into how im going to make and decorate this cake.

Today I continued my research for my brothers first communion cake and I'm hoping to get the final idea for the cake by next week. I really want to empress my entire family with this cake so they can see all that I have accomplished. I'm so excited to see what the ending result will look like. My mom said she would even help me with the cake! I'm hoping to also get the supplies to make and decorate the cake by next week.

Today I came home early from school because I wasn't feeling well at all. When I got home I realized how bored I was going to be until my mom came home so I tried finding things to do around the house. While I was looking I found a cake mix that I had completely forgot about. I started to make the cake that way when my mom got home I was able to surprise her with a great and amazing tasting chocolate cake. She was so happy when she got home and praised me for all the hard work I have been putting in for all this cake decorating.

Today my little brother had a birthday party for his 8th birthday! He was really excited for me to make him his very own Monster Truck Jam themed cake. It took a while for me to go online and find different ideas for his cake, but when I made it, it looked great! Im hoping to be able to upload pictures of the cake soon. Next week I am going to start a new set of cake classes which I am looking forward to!
